Step back in time and explore the beauty of the Victorian language of flowers, a fascinating tradition that allowed hidden emotions to bloom through carefully selected floral arrangements. During this hands-on workshop, you will:
- Learn about Caroline Scott Harrison’s passion for flowers, from the orchids she grew in the White House conservatory to her stunning floral paintings.
- Craft your own Victorian-inspired bouquet using tools and flowers provided, led by professional florists from Molly & Myrtle
- Discover the coded meanings behind blooms like peonies, roses, and chrysanthemums, and how they were used to express affection, desire, or even disdain in the 19th century.
Relax and sip on wine, which will be available for purchase, as you create a masterpiece in a fun, welcoming environment.
